The Power of the Force

Chapter Eight

In the beginning God gave us the authority to have dominion or control over the conditions of this world. In order for us to experience this dominion we must regain and recover that which has always been the likeness of God.

In Christ Jesus we have regained by rightful inheritance the nature of God. This nature is by heredity. It is in the seed of God that we have been born by. The genetic transmission of His characteristics has been passed on to us through His seed that gave us birth. We were given His Image or His gene. Peter said in 1 Peter 1:23,

“For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.“

There are two strong forces which influence human life and determine what a person will be. One is heredity and the other is environment. Neither one is sufficient to mold a human life. That which we received at birth gives distinction to the characteristic of an individual. Environment is a word used to describe all the conditions and influences that surround a person. That which is within is our heredity and that which is without is our environment.

Heredity defines your kind. Environment defines your home. Your values, your education, the place you were raised, how you were raised, the people you were raised with, and the ideas you were exposed to made up your environment. Heredity defines your nature and environment defines the condition that nature lives in. It is one thing for us to be who we are in Christ by nature but the condition by which that nature is trying to live in is contrary to the expression of who we really are. For example. A child may be gifted with an aptitude in music but depending on the environment surrounding them, they may never have the opportunity to develop that gift or even be aware of it. We see that everyday in the business world that many will be forced to go into business for themselves and as a result become a tremendous success.

Environment makes a huge difference in the development of our gifts that we have been blessed with. Within every living organism is contained the principle of life but the environment in which that life lives has the power to influence the development that life. It can be a great influence to the development of that life to the fullest or it can be a hindrance to that life’s development. Heredity by itself is not enough. In the natural we are by nature human beings but we need out of the environment that we live in food, air and water in order for that life to be sustained.

In the same manner our spiritual life must be in harmony with the spiritual world from which we came and fellowship with that which is true in that environment in order for our spiritual life to be fully developed. Without this environment there can be no life because it is the spirit that gives life.

The Kingdom of God is within us by heredity but we must live in the Kingdom of Heaven, which is our spiritual environment. We are of the spiritual world of God and His Son but to be granted this new creation by being begotten of God requires a second factor and that is to have something to live and move and have our very being in. It’s called the environment of God. That environment is the Sonship of God where we can divinely live as sons of God.

In this environment of God everything is ruled by laws or by principles. We basically want to rule our lives by what we want to do and accomplish. But Jesus said in Lk. 9:24,

“If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. ²⁴For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. ²⁵What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?”

God gives us His statutes, His customs, and His ways which all have to do with what He refers to as eternal life. In order to experience this life we have to come into alignment with these principles. In Deut. 6 God told the children of Israel that if they would follow all His statutes and commandments exactly as He told them, He would give them long life and cause them to possess the land and everything that they would touch would prosper. But if you don’t follow my statutes and commands exactly the way I have told you to do, then the opposite will happen to you. Today, I have set before you life and death. Choose which one you want.

Everything in God works by divine decree. It doesn’t work by magic! There are guidelines and rules and if you live your life by them you will get to experience His life in the now. Everything God created works by an order.

Spiritual life is lived in levels and is established in dimensions. A dimension is experienced in levels and stages and in time, through the process of revelation, its mysteries are made known through visions and the revealing of the mysteries contained in the bible.

In God's plan and purpose to bring us to maturity, there are three dimensions we must progress through based on the understanding of the Tabernacle of Moses. We begin with an outer court experience in coming to know Christ as our savior and redeemer. It is here that we start out as a babe in Christ and mature to a young man. 0 to 30%.

As we continue to grow we come to the second dimension in this process of maturing. It is here that we come to know Christ as our Holy Ghost baptizer. It is here that we begin to learn spiritual ministry and progress from 31 to 60%.

It is very characteristic of people to want to stop at each phase of this spiritual development and to camp out.  This is why we have in the Body of Christ fundamental churches, Pentecostal churches and Kingdom churches. However, if you refuse to go on into maturity you will never become a mature son of God.

There is a Third Dimension that God wants to bring each of us into and it is in this dimension that we become like Him and begin to manifest His power and authority to the world we live in. 

A higher dimension is a world of higher thoughts. If you want to progress in your spiritual life you must go to a higher dimension of thinking. There are usually conflicts between these dimensions because those who live on the lower dimensions do not want to go to a higher level of understanding or living because it requires a change in some of their thinking and their beliefs. They cannot understand those who have gone on to the higher dimensions of understanding because they are afraid to let go of the beliefs that they have been taught.

If you want to go on to a higher level of understanding of the plan of God you must be willing to change your present understanding and be willing to accept the truth of the higher level of understanding. As God moves us into another dimension of His Spirit we are moving into a higher order of habitation or living. This of course requires change and this is where most people balk. They want to go on with their present level of thinking without changing to what the Holy Spirit is trying to teach them.

There are dimensions, climates and atmospheres. Dimensions have to do with our thinking and as a result of our thinking we create a climate or a condition by which our way of thinking can have preeminence and when are joined with like thinkers we create an atmosphere that will control or dominate the world we live in.

Atmospheres are the response of spiritual influence, either good or bad. Once a spiritual influence begins to affect an atmosphere, that atmosphere will, over a prolonged period of time, create a climate. God has called us to change the atmosphere that we are living in and as a result change the climate. A climate that is sustained creates a stronghold in a pattern of thinking. Strongholds over a region create a culture. Culture is then socially transmitted into a belief system. It is in these belief systems, when confirmed and enough people begin to believe them that it will then begin to spread to other areas.

We are spirit beings living in a body that was prepared for us. Everything that we deal with begins in the heart of the spirit. Everything that deals with what God wants to do in your life whether it is physical, emotional, financial, or to do with relationships, must begin in the heart of your spirit. The word ‘spirit’ not only means breath or to breathe, but it comes from a root meaning mental disposition. The influence of your spirit is dependant upon the position you hold in your thinking. Your mental position is what controls the influence of your spirit. This is why Paul said in Rom. 12:1 for us to be transformed or changed from one dimension to a higher dimension by the renewing of our minds.

In the beginning God said, “Let them have dominion!” The dominion we received is to bring about the control of the atmosphere of the thinking of the world. When Adam sinned there was a change in the atmosphere of the earth.

The atmosphere of the earth became prideful, arrogant, and insecure. Since then the earth has been out of order. His sin affected all dominions. Paul said in Rom. 8:19,

“The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. ²⁰For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope ²¹that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.”

This is why we must regain the dominion that Adam lost. We have that dominion in Christ but we are just beginning to realize what we have and make use of it. Jesus prayed, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. We have been redeemed but as of yet the earth is not redeemed. The reason for this is because God said, “Let them have dominion!”

Heaven is in order but the earth is still out of order. When Adam sinned the atmosphere of the earth was changed and it caused the son of Adam to kill his own brother. The atmosphere was so changed by the time Noah came along that God was sorry that He ever made man. The climate became so evil that Noah was mocked for being good.

Don’t laugh, just consider the political atmosphere in our great country today. The liberals are lying and distorting and tearing down everything that stands in their way of regaining power. If you will listen carefully to what they are saying you will notice that most of it is negative and against the party in power and with no answers to the problems in the world today. The very climate that Noah face is raising its ugly head in our country today. So many in our government are only concerned with their party coming into power and they have no answers to the problems we face in this nation. They are only interested in gaining back their positions of authority. I only say this to get you to be aware of what is happening in our country today. We cannot afford to keep our heads in the sand and just let these things happen without doing something about them. We have been given the power to have dominion and we will be held accountable as to how we use that power or why we didn’t use it. Instead of talking about how bad it is we should be talking about life living in the Kingdom of God and how good it is. We should be telling the world and showing the world what living is all about.

When the atmosphere is changed from righteousness to evil, then the climate changes to where what is good is bad and what is bad becomes good. Among young girls today it is unattractive to be a virgin and for a young boy to be bad is good. We are a long way from the atmosphere of the 50’s. We must regain control of the atmosphere so we can change the climate and create a culture and a system where there is rightful behavior.

Paul said in Eph. 2:2,

“Wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world,

according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works

in the children of disobedience:”

A person can be in agreement with a spirit, either good or bad, without knowing it. This is where our warfare rages. In our thinking we must evaluate

every thought to see if it is in agreement with Gods’ word.

A human can have an agreement with a spirit that will create an atmosphere that prevails. Once an atmosphere is prolonged in a region it will create a climate that spawns that particular evil or good.

If a climate can be created and established it can also be changed. God is calling us in this day in which we live to change the climate of our world. Our world is the Mid Ohio Valley. For every wicked presence there has to be a prophetic response. If there isn’t over time there will be the transmitting of that influence. This prophetic response is what we have to say about the life we want to live in our valley.

We are filled with the Spirit of the Lord and we have the ability to prophesy to the climate we live in the word of the Lord and change the climate. The word of God goes out of His mouth and does not return void so it must find a person who will agree with it. The whole spiritual dimension works and functions according the law that if it finds someone who will agree with it then it can manifest itself through that person. If that manifestation is prolonged for a season and people come into agreement with it then eventually it will produce a stronghold or pattern of thinking. If that pattern of thinking remains for awhile it will create a climate and if it stays there for a while it will actually become transmitted and begin to attract our children to the place that it becomes their behavior.

They will begin to wear the same clothes and have the same attitude against authority because the church in that community has been silent and allowed it to happen. We have been so preoccupied with doing our own little thing and criticizing everyone else that we have allowed these atmospheres to take over our communities.

God has given us power to rule and have dominion. When we refuse to use that power we will have conflicts and confusions. We have allowed prayer to be removed from our schools and allowed condoms to be given to our children. Not necessarily because the majority want it but because a few have been brazen enough to fight for what they want while the rest of us are too busy living our lives to notice what is going on in the environment that our children are forced to live in. There must be a regaining of the environment and a regaining of the atmosphere over our communities so that we can have dominion in the dimension that God called us to.

God said that if we will do what He tells us to do that He will give us dominion over our communities. It is so important to understand that if you get your dominion back to where God first ordered it, the little creeping things in your mind will have no place in your heart. Psalms 12:4 says,

“Who have said, with our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?”

As God moves us into another dimension of His Spirit we are moving into a higher order of habitation or living.
